Many of you have wondered if it could be possible for you to call your friends and family using their own airtime credit, yes it's very possible. MTN has just introduced a service called MTN Collect Call Service which allows you call your friends and family with 0.0 naira, the most interesting part is that you can do this without any type of blockage meanwhile the procedure is very simple and doesn't require high tech skills.
With MTN Collect Call Service you can make call with 0.0 naira credit and no fee is attached to it which means its totally free
How To Activate MTN Collect Call Service
- When you want to call your friend or family member, all you have to do is to add *121*Your friend number# e.g *121*09031234567# then the system will check if the person you are calling has the minimum airtime required for the service to work and if the tariff plan allows the use of the service. While the system does the checking "Call in progress. Please wait while your call is being connected.".
- After the system has done and confirms the checking it will tell your friend "Welcome to MTN Collect call service. Press 1 to accept, 2 to reject, 3 to accept and add to the white list, 4 to reject and add to blacklist."
- Then if he/she press 1 to accept, you will be automatically connected but if he/she press other option, the call will disconnect and will tell you that "Sorry, the call cannot be connected at the moment. Please try again later. Thank you!".
This service will be of help to most people and it's also a nice development by the giant of Telecom in Africa.
